When a tenant says they have an "Emergency Voucher," it usually means they jumped the waiting list due to domestic violence, homelessness, or natural disaster.

For landlords, this often means the PHA will expedite the inspection. If you have a move-in ready unit, mention this to the caseworker immediately. You could go from application to lease-up in 7 days with emergency vouchers.
