Grounds for HAP Contract Termination: When Can the PHA Fire You?

The PHA can terminate the HAP contract (and payments) for several reasons:

• HQS Failure: Failing to repair defects within the abatement period.
• Fraud: Accepting side payments.
• Eviction: If you evict the tenant, the HAP contract terminates automatically.
• Foreclosure: If the property is foreclosed upon (though protections exist for tenants).
